Daniel “Spock” Martin – Driver of “Pinball”

Vehicle: “Pinball”

Daniel is an experienced offroad driver, having owned and driven his current vehicle since1994, in a variety of conditions throughout Queensland.

His work in the mining oil and gas sector has seen Daniel driving a range of vehicles through the SW Queensland channel country, Barkly Tablelands and Downs/Maranoa region of western Queensland.

Recreationally Daniel has been a member of the Mt Isa Four Wheel Drive Club and is currently a member of the Bayside Offroad Club, serving with the Driver Training team. He can be regularly seen on the tracks around Ormeau and at various other locations throughout the Greater Brisbane area.

This will be Daniels first foray into competition driving, he plans to compete in local challenge and navigation events, progressing to the Alpine and Outback challenge, it is also his intent to compete in the Finke.

Aaron “Az” Bell – Navigator of “Pinball”

Aaron has known Daniel for around 15 or so years, during which they have spent a bit of time camping and offroading together. He also spends time offroading with workmates when time permits.

In his younger days, he spent 10 years in Scouts both as a youth member and as a leader. Suprisingly, he can still recall the bulk of his orientering and bush craft skills.

When possible, he borrows his parents stock Toyota Hilux to gain more driving experience, and is looking forward to the day when (hopefully) he’ll be able to make some not so minor adjustments to the Hilux.

Sylvester – Driver of “Littlefoot”

Sylvester is 29 years of age and goal orientated.

He started working at age 13, part-time, as an apprentice boot maker. He has gone from a school drop out at age 15 to a business owner, with a year 12 certificate who has bought and sold several houses. Sylvester is now a business owner, it was his dream to be a locksmith he now owns the company that he has spent the last 4.5 years with.
